Africa safari

WALT write a recount focusing on using adjectives and correct punctuation.

Watch the following video of an African safari African Safari.

Now imagine that you are on the safari and describe one of your days in detail. Write it like you did the chimpanzee in space recount.

Think about what you can see all the animals, what they look like in detail, how they smell and what they would feel like. The plants, how they feel, the temperature of the sun the dusty road. Then talk about the people that you meet.

I can’t wait to read your writing and picture in my mind what you see.

Start writing here……

It was a bright sunny day. I was in a off road buggy going to see some animals. First I saw some elephants. The elephant's tusks were as white as ice. The sky is as blue as water. The trees are as green as grass. The next animal we saw was giraffes. Their necks are as long as trees. And then we saw some slippery fish in the water.

IT’S NOT A PLANET,ITS OUR HOME

WALT use adjectives and paragraphs
IT’S NOT A PLANET,ITS OUR HOME I'm in hyper sleep. I have been asleep for 65 years. I start to wake up.I look through my blurry helmet it is as dirty as a dirty windscreen. I hear my ship gliding through space it was as smooth as a car on a freshly made road. The first thing I see is the beautiful stars. It was as shiny as diamonds. I felt my seat hugging me like a giant teddy bear It was as hard as two walls crushing me. And next the warm sun shining over my face. I smell cake from my home, freshly baked. I taste delicious nuts in the cake. The earth it is so close my mum my dad will be there waiting there for me. I haven't seen me family in 65 years. The Atmosphere it is here  I start to wobble and shake. I smell smoke in the air. I walked out I was alone I saw blown up cars and nothing alive. Everything was dead the breeze was upon me it sent a shiver down my spine my family is gone I a tear dripped down my face. Nothing is here but the concrete and dead trees. My home where has it gone? THE END
